All Storytelling
All Storytelling is the continuous read of your story's surface-level Storytelling, assembled from every Storybeat and grouped by Act. It is the fastest way to hear the story without structural noise.
What you see
- Act tabs for Act One, Act Two (Signposts 2 and 3), Act Three (Act Four), and Entire Story.
- Moments listed in the same order you set in Plotting.
- Storytelling entries shown in Storybeat order, with no structural labels to interrupt the flow.
Editing Storytelling
Every Storytelling entry is editable in place. The editor uses Markdown behind the scenes, so line breaks and formatting stay consistent across Subtxt.
- Updates sync to the same Storybeat Storytelling fields in Illustrating.
- Changes are immediate; there is no separate save screen.
- Because this view is focused on prose, it strips away Storypoint and Storybeat labels while you write.
Ordering and grouping
All Storytelling respects the structure you already built:
- Act order is derived from Plotting.
- Moment order follows the sequence of your Moments.
- Storybeat order matches the order shown on each Moment card.
If something feels out of place, return to Plotting to reorder Storybeats or Moments, then come back to see the updated flow.
Downloads
Use the Download buttons at the top of the view to export the currently selected Act or the Entire Story.
- Markdown is ideal for editing in other tools.
- PDF is best for sharing or printing.
TIP
Read All Storytelling aloud. It is the fastest way to spot gaps in clarity, pacing, or intent before drafting scenes.
