Forming
Forming is the Subtxt workspace where you build the structural spine of your Storyform. Everything here lives under the gradient arc: you are deciding what the story means before you decide how it is told. Every choice you make in Forming becomes available to Narrova, Storyform Alignment, and the Illustration tools that come later.
What Forming does for you
- Establishes the argument so every Throughline speaks to the same central conflict.
- Clarifies responsibility by separating Plot, Players, and Character Arcs into focused workpads.
- Keeps choices consistent through Storyform Alignment, so updates cascade everywhere they appear.
Forming sections
- Four Throughlines — define the four Perspectives that hold the Storyform together.
- Plot & Players — map the Objective Story’s external pressures and the characters who carry them.
- Character Arcs — track growth, resolve, and transformational pressure for the key players.
- Storyform — review the full Storyform in one place, lock what is true, and see what remains open.
TIP
If you want help generating a first pass, use the Narrova Skill Generate Four Throughlines from the Task Manager. It fills in a grounded draft while keeping your Storyform editable for real-world refinement.
